Come visit Studio Bell After Hours
Do you like music? Do you like to play? Do you like to have a funky good time? Then Studio Bell’s After Hours sessions are for you. The music museum is usually only open during the day, but they are turning down the lights and turning up the beats for special adults night only events. The National Music Centre hosted the first-such After Hours event at Studio Bell this past March for the grown-ups to come out to play. I’ve always loved the idea of sipping on wine and partaking in some cultural stimulation. With five floors of music and technology to explore and visit, Studio Bell is the perfect playground for adults to find their inner jams and pretend to be a musician for a night.
Winding your way through each level, you’ll get to see Studio Bell’s specially curated exhibitions on Canadian music, technology and more. It’s a very hands-on space with instruments to try, interactive displays to listen to and craft stations to build on your own musical gadgets. With live DJs pumping out the jams, a night at the museum becomes more of an enlightened dance party with games, tech and more. Check out more of my pics below for all the After Hours fun.
Playing around with the interactive displays, being silly and whatnot.
Each After Hours event will be a little different as new exhibits come and go and select features will be set up for each event.
The next Studio Bell After Hours will be taking place Friday, April 21 with another installment set for Friday, May 26. Three more After Hours events are slated for the fall. Tickets for Studio Bell After Hours are $18 and $14 for students (18+) and seniors.
