Finding casual and chic at ECCO Shoes

Danish retailer ECCO Shoes has been around since the 1970’s but the Scandinavian brand has only set up standalone stores in Canada since the late ‘90s. With a growing push in Western Canada, ECCO is looking to boost its presence with Calgarians with their new showcase location in Chinook Centre. My boyfriend has been a big fan of their men’s shoes for along time so I decided to take some time to explore what the women’s collections had to offer.

Here I am learning about the new styles this season with the ECCO shoes staff at Chinook Centre. In addition to this new location, the brand can also be found at Deerfoot Meadows and an outlet at CrossIron Mills.

So many beautiful shoes for every occasion. This is a shoe lover’s dream come true!

The highlight of the fall season is the ECCO Soft 7. The line is made from premium quality leather in a high top, sneaker, slip on and tie on for both men and women. You really need to go feel how soft and supple these shoes are in person to really understand how beautifully designed these kicks are.

And of course, you can put a girl into a shoe store, but she’s not leaving without a pair or two! I picked up both a pair of the new Soft 7’s high tops as well as the Angelholm booties. Both pairs of shoes will work great for the office, running errands, weekend plans and more. I’m looking forward to getting to know my ECCO shoes better.
