Where to get hot chocolate bombs in Calgary

Hot chocolate bombs are the hottest confection treat to hit our Instagram feeds in 2020. The delicious cocoa treats are delicious fun. If you haven’t seen what it is, check out the video below:

Are you hooked? There are many Calgary bakeries and artisans putting together local hot chocolate bombs for the holidays. Mmm, I think we all need a little marshmallow surprise at home these days. For most, these bombs can last a couple of months if stored in a dry location so they can definitely make it until Christmas as stocking stuffers and gifts. Check out this list of where to buy.

Kakes & Kanvas

Local artisan Kalia Gounden puts a special handcrafted touch to her hot chocolate bombs, touting unique flavours like Chai Latte and Cookies n Cream just to name a few.

8Cakes

Taking a little twist on the chocolate balls is 8Cakes Hot Chocolate Hearts (also filled with marshmallow goodness). These bombs come in a set of 3 for $15 with some flavours available as vegan. Preorders are already going into December so get those requests in ASAP. The last day to order is December 18^th.

Master Chocolat

Chocolate chief Bernard himself has also jumped on the chocolate bomb bandwagon with plenty of flavours and options. Purchase single bombs from $7.95 or boxes of six or 12 costing upwards of $72. Mix and match options are available. Master Chocolat currently offers eight flavours ranging from white raspberry and vegan dark candy cane.

Modern Bake

This boutique cakery has some seriously mouthwatering cakes and cupcakes, but they also got you covered for hot chocolate bombs too! Distinct Desserts YYC

If you’re looking to also spend your money for a good cause, this is it. Distinct Desserts YYC and Fur-ever Homes Rescue have partnered together host a fundraiser with, you guessed it, hot chocolate bombs! 25% of proceeds will go to help the charity to find homes for displaced pets. The Chocolate Lab

Now get ready for the mother of chocolate bombs. Meet The Chocolate Lab’s giant drinking chocolate Snowballs! These bombs are triple the size and made with both dark and white chocolate. There’s no cocoa powder at all, but you’ll still end up with a rich, chocolate-y drink experience (with tons of marshmallows as you can see). This Snowball requires a litre of milk to melt it down so it’s perfect for sharing with the whole family. You can order online or visit their warehouse.
