5 things to look forward to at Roundup MusicFest
Festival season is gearing up for the summer and it all kicks off in a few weeks with the Roundup Musicfest on July 11th! The Roundup always delivers a boot-stomping good time for Calgarians who are ready to soak in the sun and enjoy some western hospitality. For those of you who have never gone, there’s a lot to enjoy. Here are a few things to look forward to at this year’s Roundup Musicfest.
Shaw Millenium Park
This venue is so awesome for an outdoor concert! I loved this change in location to Shaw Millenium Park as it’s right off the C-Train line which makes it super easy to get to and from the show (as well as a very handy transportation option so you can drink responsibly!). It’s also a really spacious venue so you can dance dance dance the night away.
Cowboy boot cozies
I love the little cowboy-themed beer cozies. Sidenote: VIP drink tickets are attached to your wristband so you can’t lose them. Bonus!
Beef on a bun dinner
All that dancing makes you hungry so it’s a good thing to chow down on dinner by Made Foods. Vegetarian option is also available.
Support a good cause
Roundup isn’t just a music festival, it’s a corporate fundraiser too! The 2018 event will support the Calgary Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) which supports military personnel and their families cope with the unique challenges of military life. So know that your ticket is also going towards a good cause.

Awesome music from Train, Goo Goo Dolls, Wallflowers and more
The 90s are calling and I am allllll over it. This year’s music festival will have some great performances from The Wallflowers, The Grapes of Wrath, Goo Goo Dolls and Train. You’ll find me dancing all night long to all these bands in my denim shortalls and scrunchies. Yahoo!
