NOtaBLE has you covered from brunch to lunch to Gourmet 2 Go
I love going to restaurants that like to shake things up every now and again. While there is comfort in picking the same foods you already know and enjoy, I appreciate trying new flavours, dishes and seasonal ingredients when I’m eating out. Just in time for fall, NOtaBLE has put together refreshed menu items for brunch, lunch and dinner. The northwest restaurant has built up a reputation over the years as a place for quality eats and I always have a great (and filling!) time at NOtaBLE. I went for a recent weekend visit to try out some of the new brunch and lunch items out myself.
First up off the brunch menu was the rotisserie pork hash. The pork is grilled in-house at the restaurant (which you can see spinning away in the kitchen). Topped with two sunny side eggs, the yolks run through the potato hash to meld perfectly with the jalapeño Jack cheese and spicy ranch. The salsa verde and guacamole are ‘muy bien’ in this upscale take of Mexican flavours. I’d eat this for breakfast every day if I could.
From the lunch menu is the newly added applewood smoked turkey panini. Filled with back bacon, Oka cheese, and arugula, this sandwich offers the perfect crunch and munch for lunch. I’ve never seen a panini so pressed down before – basically to the point that the bread was beyond super thin. But this also made the panini extra crispy and delicious so this is a method I highly approve of.
The third dish I tried was the carrot cake French toast. A new brunch menu item, I feel like this decadent twist on the breakfast classic should be on the dessert menu too – it’s so darn good. If you like carrot cake and you like French toast, then you got the best of both worlds going on in this dish. Like all the baked goods at NOtaBLE, the carrot cake is made in-house at the restaurant and then given the ‘eggy’ savour of French toast. A nicely warmed up spiced maple syrup and Waltz goat cheese icing come on the side to enhance the carrot cake flavours.
For those of you who want to take NOtaBLE’s culinary brilliance home, you can now enjoy the perks of the Let’s Go Home loyalty program. The rotisserie chicken at NOtaBLE is one of my favourite dishes at the restaurant. The Happy Chickens are so popular on the Gourmet 2 Go menu that people pretend the birds are their own creation (too funny). Now for every Happy Chicken purchased at NOtaBLE (and sister restaurant The Nash), you’ll get a stamp on your Let’s Go Home loyalty card. After you have received 5 stamps, you will receive a 6th Happy Chicken free! Your family will be happy with all that chicken, whether you take the credit or not.
If you haven’t been by NOtaBLE in a while, it’s time to stop by and give the new menus a try. Enjoy!
