Improv at the Workshop Kitchen + Culture
The restaurant space in Theatre Junction has changed over many times over the years, but Workshop Kitchen + Culture is looking to make it stick. The location is an anomaly as it isn’t a standalone spot – the restaurant sits in the atrium area before the theatre entrance. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has showed up for an arts show and not realized I was loitering around in a restaurant, not the lobby. What seems to make Workshop a better fit this time around is its commitment to fully immerse itself in the cultural environment it is in. Plus the dynamic menu is getting people excited to show up for drinks before a TJ event or come to dinner for the great food.
My visit to Workshop Kitchen gave me a taste of everything with their Workshop Improv menu selection. You can choose between the 3-course or the 5-course menu. From there, the chefs will put together a curated culinary experience from appetizer to dessert. It’s improv in the kitchen!
You definitely have to be willing to let your taste buds enjoy and experience all the flavours that will come your way. If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like to be surprised, then this menu choice is not for you. But for any foodies or adventurous peeps out there, you will enjoy yourself thoroughly.
The creativity and quality of the dishes at Workshop Kitchen had me drooling over every single bite. It’s fun to let the chefs create a menu for you and all you have to do is eat. Bon appetit!
